Matthew L. Skinner Jr.

Matthew L. Skinner Jr. was born and raised in South Dakota and is the oldest of nine children. Growing up in a large family, he naturally took on the role of looking out for others-a responsibility that ultimately shaped his decision to become an attorney. Hе built his career on a simple principle: stand up for people who need someone in their corner.

Matthew has been an attorney for many years and prior to that, he worked at his firm on and off for many years. The law has always been a part of his life, and he brings that lifelong familiarity -along with disciplined preparation - to every case he handles and when your freedoms or your family's future is on the line, experience and preparation matter.

Matthew focuses his practice on criminal defense and living wills. In criminal cases, he works strategically to protect his clients' rights, challenge improper evidence when applicable, and pursue the best possible outcome. He represents individuals facing allegations regarding DUI's, drugs, assault, and other criminal charges with strategic, detail-driven advocacy. Regarding living wills, Matthew ensures his clients understand their options and creates tailored documents that reflect their values and protect their loved ones from uncertainty. In doing so, he helps individuals and families create clear, tailored living wills to provide peace of mind to his client's and their families.

Matthew plans to continue building his practice in South Dakota and to raise his own family in the state he proudly calls home. His goal is simple: he worries about his clients' legal problems so they can focus on living their lives.
